An Isometric Aztec Village

A year ago I was commissioned to make a mock up of an Aztec (Nahua/Mexica) village. The idea was to push historical accuracy as far as possible within specified constraints, in a 2D isometric style with a painterly approach. The Temple at the center of the settlement is not representative of what a temple in a village of that size would look like, but was illustrated in this way to give an idea of what a larger structured settlement might look like in this style.
