Reconstrucion of a famous whistle figurine belonging to the Remojadas culture, whom inhabited Mexico's Golf Coast (primarly the region within central Veracruz) between 300 and 900 a.C.
The ilustration is a composite piece, pulling together several distinctive atributes of the area, such as headdress and clothing decoration, wheeled figurine toys (which appear frequently in the area) and most distinctively: a particular type of cranial deformation that flattens the skull horizontally, giving the face a triangular appearance.
